Nifty closes below the Agni level - 3rd day

Today(12-8-10)on adverse global cues Nifty opened at 5372 with a loss of 49 points, moved in the range 5384 - 5404 up to 12.30, surged to 5431 and closed flat at 5416. Nifty futures range was 5364 - 5432. Despite heavy selling worldwide (DOW 265 points down)Indian market(Nifty & Sensex)held yesterday levels today at the closing. It may be due to the good performance of State Bank of India(up 7.11%), results of which was announced after 12.30 p.m. However, Nifty closed below the Agni level(5451)today also. Tomorrow's Agni level is at 5438.
