Onam is being celebrated by Malayalies world over every year when Sun moves to Chingam(Leo) and Moon transits to Thiruvonam star of Makaram(Capricorn) rasi. If we superimpose on our clock it will show 4:48. Wish you all a very Happy Onam.
Dear Cahauhan, Onam is a myth where all good things exists. Perhaps it can be campared to Ramrajya. The sad part of it is day by day bit by bit all good things becomes less and less. On Onam day itself Malayalies drank more than Rs.50.00 crores liquior(official value), and the real value must be much much more. Usually along with liquior muttom, beaf and chicken are consumed, the value of it is not revealed by anybody. Official publicity is for Sadya in plantain leaf alone. This shows the duality of a cross section of Malayalies. Pray for real Onam to come.
