Congrats shyamalroy, you have hit it right with 6171 (if you wish you may plese expain logic for the same). Further your other figure 6244 (is it 6144 + 100 ?) has also had relevance today since Nifty high was 6239. Thanks for participation.

Sir, my logic may be wrong but I calculated in the following way-

9-Jan-14 6168 (L024)7 (50% of 7)
10-Jan - 14 6171 (50% 7)
for 6244 I had added 6191+52.

Nobody knows what logic Nifty is following in a particular period. There may be some logic or basis underwhich it is moving - hard to know. The question was asked just because it was in a row and moved to next row and felt that Friday closing will be somewhere around.
Since your answer is correct your logic is also correct for this week. Wish you good luck.
