Fractals in nature

The above picture shows a leaf stem structure from the mother nature. Leaves of same pattern(shapes)with different sizes. These are generally called fractals. Peacock feathers are also example of a fractal. Last post regarding the formation of same pattern in Nifty last year and this year can be viewed as part of nature as it is created by thousands of traders. Size difference or difference in values of two charts are just natural as in the leaves shown above. A search on "fractals in nature" will give you more details. W.D.Gann uses octave to explain these type of value differences. In music also octave concept is being used ie. higher audible frequencies are always a multiple of basic frequencies from 256 to 512.


On Friday(29-10-10)Nifty moved exactly as anticipated. Nifty range was 5937 ( Soma level : 5937) to 6033 (Agni level : 6029). Exceptional Friday effect was 96 points from 5937 to 6033. Nifty futures range was 5966 - 6066, having a difference of exactly 100 points. Tomorrow's Agni level is at 5984 and probably it will be a buy.

Repetition of last years October series settlement

Today(28-10-10)Nifty was highly volatile after 2.00 p.m. and lost more than 100 points before closing. Nifty high and low were 6071 & 5968 (for details see chart). Nifty October futures range was 6084 -> 5976 where as November futures range was 6123 -> 6040 having a titanic premium of 86 points, which was not seen before. Tomorrow being an exceptional Friday(Friday following F&O settlement)an upward move of 50 to 100 points expected. Tomorrow's Agni level is at 6029.

Similar to yesterday's charts, last years settlement day (29th October,2009)chart and today's chart are given below. One and half hours end game (compared with chess) was almost similar with difference in magnitude only. Do post your comments on it.

Is it coincidental ?

Nifty closes below the Agni level

Today(27-10-10)Nifty opened at 6055 with a loss of 27 points, moved up to 6076, after 12.00 p.m. declined nearly 100 points to 5988 and closed at 6013 with a loss of 69 points, below the Agni level. Nifty futures range was 6102 -> 6005. As tomorrow is the F&O settlement day for October series high volatility expected. A bounce back to 6100 levels cannot be ruled out even if it opens in red. Tomorrow's Agni level is at 6073.

Nifty low Agni level for the day (6075)

Today(26-10-10)Nifty opened at 6118 with a gain of 12 points, moved in the range 6075 - 6120 and closed at 6082 with a loss of 24 points. Nifty futures range was 6094 - 6141, with 20 points premium. As Nifty low was Agni level for the day (6075), it is yet to generate sell signal. Agni level for tomorrow is at 6130 and it is a sell if Nifty remains below Agni level.

Nifty remained in P(Panchamam ie. below 6154)

Today(25-10-10)Nifty opened at 6108 with a gain of 42 points, moved upwards up to 6151 (10.05), declined to 6100 and closed near opening levels at 6106 with a gain of 40 points. Nifty remained in P(Panchamam) range itself. Nifty futures range was 6180 -> 6111 and premium varied from 20 to 31 points. Tomorrow's Agni level is at 6075.

Scattered thoughts on comets

The last page picture and news “NASA’s Deep impact space craft now on an extended mission known as EPOXI , will rendezvous with comet Hartley-2 on November 4th” in Business Line today(24th Oct,2010) provoked Nandi’s thoughts on comets. Nandi’s first sighting of a comet was during 1964-66 period when he was studying for Pre-Degree Course at Pazhassi Raja NSS College, Mattannur in Kannur District of Kerala. After seeing the Malayalam movie “Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja” you may be knowing Pazhassi hills and forest. Nandi did wander through the forests of Pazhassi and through the remains of Pazhassi Raja’s palace at that time. Nandi’s concept of a comet was “a star with a tail” as the name of comet in Malayalam is “Vaal (tail) Nakshatram(star)” and he searched for such an object in the night sky and in the early morning sky even climbing on the roof of the hostel building where he was staying, when the news appeared in the dailies regarding the approach of the comet “Seki - Ikeya” . But he failed to find such an object in the beginning. Later he could see the comet at Sunrise with its bewitching tail and all, in the foreground of dense forest covered with mist and the memory still remains vibrant with awe. Nandi also associate that period with a war (Indo – Pakistan) and the scarcity of food items. Then he was in the mess committee of the hostel and had to go to Thalassery to get permission from the authorities for procuring ration rice for the hostel mess.
By the way, Comet ….., Pazhassi…., War ……coming like a stream. The planet Mars, named after the Roman God of War along with Mercury will be entering Sagiturus during the last week of November where Rahu (the serpent) is situated now. Comets are called “Dhooma Kethu” in Sanskrit ( Kethu is lower part of Rahu) and considered as a bad omen. Therefore, the elusive market correction can be triggered off on chances of a war or some other natural calamity. So, be pessimistic till the first half of December, 2010.
