Nifty may open in green tomorrow

On Friday(8-10-10)Nifty opened at 6149 with a gain of 29 points, declined to 6067, bounced back to 6115 and closed at 6103 with a loss of 17 points. Nifty futures range was 6169 -> 6097, having a difference of 72 points. Last half an hour surge of 48 points suggest a positive opening tomorrow. Agni level for Monday is at 6150.

Nifty closes below Agni level

Today(7-10-10) Nifty opened at 6198 with a gain of 12 points, moved in the range 6167 - 6199 up to 14.00, declined fast to 6108 and closed at 6120 with a loss of 66 points. Nifty futures range was 6230 -> 6134, having a difference of 96 points. Nifty closing is below the Agni level for the day at 6250 and hence further downward movement expected tomorrow. Agni level for tomorrow is at 6205.

Nifty closes @ 6186 - this years highest close so far

On global cues, today(6-10-10) Nifty opened at 6223 with a gain of 77 points, declined steadily to 6155 (14.00), bounced back to 6196 (below Agni level ie. 6197)and closed at 6186 with a gain of 40 points. Nifty futures range was 6243 -> 6185. Nifty may close below tomorrow's Agni level(6250) giving a negative indication.

Nifty closes at 24x ( 256 x 24 = 6144)

Today(5-10-10)Nifty opened at 6142 with a loss of 17 points, moved in the range 6138 - 6188 and closed near opening level at 6146 with a loss of 13 points.(Note: In the opening itself NSE site was showing a low of 6118.05 which is not recorded any where else). Nifty futures range was 6169 - 6225. Agni level for tomorrow is at 6197.

Nifty closes at top of P (6154)

Today(4-10-10)Nifty opened at 6197 with a gain of 54 points, moved upwards to 6222, declined down to 6151 and closed at 6159 with a gain of 16 points. Nifty futures range was 6175 - 6248. Exit longs when Nifty moves below tomorrow's Agni level(6138).

Nifty touches top of P(6154) on Exceptional Friday

On Friday(1-10-10),(an Exceptional Friday) Nifty opened at 6058 with a gain of 28 points, steadily moved upwards to top of P ie. 6153, as mentioned in the post dated 26th September, 2010 and closed at 6143 with a gain of 113 points. Nifty moving above this level and entering D1(Sudha Daivatham; Bottom: 6154, Centre: 6355 {Nifty all time high}& Top: 6526)seems possible during this week. If Nifty moves above 6185, then we will see Nifty touching 6355 and creating a new all time high before Diwali. In yesterday's post there was a question whether Exceptional Friday effect was also behind the last hour 84 points rise. Today it was proved beyond doubt that it was not, as today it self Nifty advanced 123 points (Exceptional Friday effect is 50 - 100 points). Nifty futures range was 6050 -> 6184, having a difference of 134 points and premium was more than 30 points, highest in recent times. Tomorrow's Agni level is at 6085.
